Dog Swims at Spring Lake throughout September

August 18, 2014 in News

The Spring Lake lagoon goes to the dogs in September when Regional Parks hosts its popular off-leash swims each weekend. Well-behaved dogs are invited to swim in the 3-acre lagoon and romp leash-free on the sandy beach on the following days:

  • Sept. 6-7, 2014 (9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Sept. 13, 2014 (Noon to 6 p.m.)
  • Sept. 14, 2014 (9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Sept. 20-21, 2014 (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Sept. 27-28, 2014 (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

The lagoon’s regular season ends after Labor Day, so these special swims are for dogs only, not their humans. The all-day cost is $3 per dog for Regional Park members and $5 per dog for non-members. Proceeds go to the Regional Parks Foundation, which supports park programs and services.

Spring Lake Regional Park is at 393 Violetti Road in Santa Rosa. Parking is free for Regional Park members and $7 for non-members. For more information, visit the activities calendar at sonomacountyparks.org or call Regional Parks at (707) 565-2041.

Sponsors include AcCounting on Computers, Paradise Pet Resorts, Western Farm Center, Green Valley Consulting Engineers, Sonoma County Waste Management Agency and Alderbrook Pet Hospital.
