Mark West Regional Park and Open Space Preserve (Proposed)
Regional Parks Department, in partnership with
the Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, is proposing a regional
park and open space preserve on properties that include portions of Mark West,
Porter and Mill Creeks. The District currently owns 645.5 acres including open
meadows, oak woodlands, and evergreen forests. This is planned for transfer to
Regional Parks, and plans for interim public access are being prepared.
Regional Parks and the District are actively negotiating property acquisition
to improve future public access.
