Are you ready to nurture your inner scientist and explore the vast biodiversity of our parks? Wondering what flowers have appeared after the 2017 and 2019 wildfires? Join the International City Nature Challenge for this special BioBlitz event for the entire family. Work alongside local experts and environmental educators to document the flowers, insects, lichen and other organisms that call these unique parks home. Using your smart phone, you can help create a lasting record of the plants and animals that reside in these beautiful places. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with nature, meet people and contribute to science. Stay until 2 p.m. to learn about the day’s findings. Refreshments provided. For more information, visit citynaturechallenge.org or contact Sandi Funke by email at Sandi.Funke@sonoma-county.org or by phone at (707) 565-6413. Registration is required.
