Please join Regional Parks and the Sonoma Ecology Center as we host a Covid-Safe volunteer workday. Volunteers will remove garbage from the section of Sonoma Creek that runs through Maxwell Farms Regional Park in Sonoma. This section of creek is important habitat for a variety of plants and animals. It is also in a corridor that animals use to safely travel through urban areas. The workday is limited to 12 volunteers to comply with Sonoma County's Health Order governing outdoor recreation. Registration is required. All volunteers must wear a mask and comply with social distancing guidelines. Please arrive as close to the start time as you can for a short safety talk. Parks will provide litter grabbers, garbage bags, buckets and gloves. Recyclables will be separated and all trash collected is recorded for Coastal Clean Up Month. For more information contact John Ryan, Volunteer Coordinator, at (707) 565-3356 or
