Deepen your connection to the natural world through sketching and writing. Explore, observe, and identify the inspiring flora and fauna of our Regional Parks. Each session includes instruction on specific artistic techniques. Please bring journal, pencils, pen, watercolor palette, and folding chair to allow for distanced seating. All artistic abilities at these sessions designed for adults. The cost is $10 and registration is required. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members. December 6 - Ragle Regional Park
Nature Journaling for the Newbie– Dive into nature journaling, while practicing warm up activities and exploring the flora and fauna of the park. We learn about nature journaling basics such as page composition, lettering, and recommended supplies for journaling in the field. Meet at the gazebo.

January 3 - Crane Creek Regional Park
Sketching Terrific Trees– Meet the fascinating world of oak woodlands, while sketching trees, mosses, barks, and lichens. We will practice recording observations while exploring the many species that rely on an oak tree habitat. Meet at Upper Oak Knolls parking lot.

February 7 - Tolay Lake Regional Park
Lovely Landscapes and Vibrant Vistas– Enjoy the sweeping vistas, while learning tips and tricks to capturing landscape observations in your journal.  We will experiment with texture, color, light and shape as we creating quick mini-landscapes.
