Join us each month:
May 4 - Have you ever used the sun to create art? Energy from the sun keeps us warm and helps plants grow, but it can also create chemical reactions! We will use solar power to make beautiful sun prints out of natural items found in the park.
June 1 - I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Learn about the phases of matter as we turn liquid ingredients into a solid using salt, ice, and our hands. Participants will get to enjoy a yummy homemade ice cream treat.
July 6 - How does a top spin without falling over? Create your own penny spinner and watch the laws of motion in action. Learn how momentum, torque and friction work together and see how long your penny spinner can spin.
August 3 - Harness the power of the sun with a fun DIY solar oven tutorial. Participants will learn about solar power, enjoy a snack cooked by the sun, and construct their own solar oven to try at home.
