Join us for this series that examines the people and personalities of Sonoma County, their stories, and how their lives are tied to our most loved parks. Folks of all ages welcome. October 9 - Doran Regional Park
Join us in exploring the cultural history of Doran Beach and Bodega Bay as we begin to unravel what the landscape looked like prior to becoming a park. Come out for a morning of history and learn about the Spanish settlement, mixing of cultures and Sonoma County’s long standing ranching roots. 

December 11 - Helen Putnam Regional Park
Join us for a fun morning of history and exploration at Helen Putnam as we begin to unravel what the landscape looked like prior to becoming a park. Investigate the park’s cultural history during a scavenger hunt that will reveal what the landscape looked like prior to Spanish/Mexican settlements. Come out for a leisurely stroll and learn about the Spanish settlement, mixing of cultures and Sonoma County’s long-standing ranching roots.
