Naturally Fit Walk - June 13, 2015

Where: Ragle Ranch Regional Park

Ragle trail 150Led by local walking blogger Lynn Millar and a Regional Parks naturalist, this free, easy-paced outing is perfect for new hikers and anyone interested in learning more about Ragle Ranch Regional Park, a beautiful, 157-acre park not far from downtown Sebastopol. Ragle Ranch has both a city park feel, with sports fields and picnic areas, and a bit of wilderness for exploring. This walk will cover about 2 miles on paved and dirt trails through the park's "backcountry" along Atascadero Creek. Walkers may even try the park's PDF fileFog to Bog quest. Park in the main lot and meet near the peace garden. Parking is $7 or free for Regional Parks members. Be sure to bring a full water bottle and wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes. Please, no dogs, but service animals are welcome.

This outing is part of the Naturally Fit series offered in partnership with the Sonoma County Family YMCA. Naturally Fit walks are entry-level nature walks on mostly flat trails and are ideal for people looking for a low-impact activity. Naturally Fit walks are offered in the Regional Parks on the second Saturday of each month.
