50th Anniversary Party and Trails Challenge Kick-Off

Celebrate Sonoma County Regional Parks’ 50th Anniversary and kick off the 2017 Sonoma County Trails Challenge on National Trails Day. This free event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ragle Ranch Regional Park in Sebastopol and presented by Regional Parks, Whole Foods Market, and the Regional Parks Foundation.

Enjoy outdoor activities for all ages, including a fun run (10 a.m.), nature hike (1 p.m.), scavenger hunt, live music, crafts, games, barbecue, cake (noon), and other delicious foods. Visit community booths for giveaways and prizes. Exhibitors include REI, Fleet Feet, Trails Challenge logoRegional Parks’ Mobile Discovery Center, Sonoma County Library, Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District, KRSH, Sonoma County Animal Services, Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, Sebastopol Community Center, LandPaths, Center for Climate Protection, iWalk, and more. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members.

Fun Run/Walk: Sign up for the 1.5 mile fun run/walk at 10 a.m., and help support your Regional Parks. Registration is $10 for adults and kids 12 and under, with proceeds going to the Regional Parks Foundation.

Bike Ride: Join Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition leaders on a 9 a.m. ride to the park from Sebastopol Community Center, 390 Morris St. We'll ride at a family-friendly pace for 2.5 miles, with no one left behind. Helmets and bikes required – please no bikes with training wheels or scoot bikes. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Ride route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7068156.
