Hop on your bike for a scenic ride for the whole family. Learn basic bike safety tips while cruising on a 4.4-mile segment of the paved, flat Joe Rodota Trail in Sebastopol.
The group will head east on the trail, riding approximately 2.2 miles past beautiful oak trees and farm fields blooming with mustard before turning and riding back to the starting point.
Families will learn how to properly fit their helmets, trail-sharing ettiquette, how to pass cyclists and pedestrians, and what safety gear they should carry. The recommended age for this ride is 7 or older as children should be able to keep up a steady pace for the duration.
Meet at the Sebastopol Park and Ride on Highway 116 (off of Burnett Street between South Main Street and Petaluma Avenue) across from the trailhead. This ride is free. Heavy rain cancels.
