Wild About Art After-School Art Camp Begins

Children ages 7-11 are invited to explore and learn about different local habitats through art. Join us in experimenting with variety of art mediums and techniques while creating beautiful masterpieces during this three-week, after-school art series. All materials are included in the registration fee. The cost is $65 per person in county and $67 out of county, per session and registration is required.   • Undersea Worlds • October 13, October 20 and October 27 
    Discover the mysteries of life in the ocean! Find inspiration from a tide pool touch tank filled with live animals or watch the steelhead that will one day make the journey from river to sea. This art series focuses on using mixed media to create vibrant and unique artwork that celebrates our ocean habitats.

  • Printing Nature • November 3, November 10 and November 17
    Throughout history natural items have been used by artists around the world. We will work with a variety of printmaking techniques while exploring the colors and textures of the natural world. Be prepared to experiment with new materials, get messy, and have fun!

  • Painting in the Park • January 5, January 12 and January 19 
    Put your imagination and your paintbrush to work! Get creative with color as we study how to mix paint to create colors found in nature and experience how fun it is to paint outdoors. We will practice basic skills, learn new watercolor methods and make our paper come alive with the colors of winter in the park.
