Camping at Westside Regional Park

Sonoma County's Regional Parks feature more than 200 year-round campsites on the Sonoma Coast and in the heart of Wine County. Sites can accommodate tent, trailer and RV campers as well as backpackers and large groups.

Reservations are required and can be made up to 12 months in advance.

Doran Regional Park offers more than 120 year-round campsites along Bodega Harbor and Bodega Bay. The park features a boat launch and a wide, 2-mile stretch of beach ideal for walking, picnicking, playing in the sand, flying kites, surfing, and bird-watching.

This oceanfront park in the northwest corner of Sonoma County borders the Gualala River and Mendocino County. The park includes an expansive beach and estuary and a forested campground with 26 sites along the river.

Hood Mountain Regional Park and Preserve Mountain View

Hood Mountain Regional Park and Preserve

Hood Mountain Regional Park & Preserve features the only public backpacking sites in Sonoma Valley and offers 17 miles of trails for hikers and mountain bikers. At 2,730 feet, Hood Mountain is the highest peak in the Mayacamas Mountains separating the Sonoma and Napa valleys. Its Gunsight Rock outcropping above Highway 12 offers stunning views of the valley and Bay Area landmarks beyond.

This popular park in northeast Santa Rosa features a campground with 31 sites, including three sleeping cabins, in beautiful oak woodland. Campers can enjoy trails for walking, hiking, and bicycling as well as a summer swimming lagoon, a lake for boating and fishing, picnic areas, and the Environmental Discovery Center.

This coastal park just north of Fort Ross features 23 campsites in a mix of meadow and forest. Trails lead to Stillwater Cove, a small protected beach popular with divers and fishers, and into a beautiful redwood canyon.

Westside Regional Park

Westside Regional Park in Bodega Bay features nearly 50 campsites as well as a three-lane boat launch and an accessible kayak launch on Bodega Harbor. The park is near a few cafes, tackle shops, and Spud Point Marina.
