Doran Boat Launch Facility Improvements

What & Why?

The boat launch at Doran Regional Park provides Bodega Harbor access for sport fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddling, and kite surfing. These facilities are heavily used, and after many years, were in need of major renovations to improve safety and access. California Division of Boating and Waterways provided a $990,000 grant to Regional Parks to renovate the facilities.   

Project Completed in November 2019

Construction of the improvements was completed in November 2019, just in time for crab season. These improvements included new boarding floats, renovated piles, new launch ramp panels, new fish cleaning station and boat wash down area, parking, and connecting paths.
