The renowned Bill and Dave Hikes are back! Bill and Dave have retired, but we’re excited to continue in their footsteps by leading these wonderful hikes. Join us — park staff and volunteers — to check out favorite trails and parks, preview new parklands, learn about the local ecosystem and enjoy a day out in nature. These are moderate to strenuous hikes with longer mileage, so be sure to bring water, snacks or lunch and wear sturdy hiking shoes. For more information, contact Alexis Puerto Holmes at No registration is required.

We will be traversing 7-plus miles to portions of Mark West Regional Park & Open Space Preserve that aren’t open to the public during our preview days. This will be during newt mating season, so expect some slow hiking when passing large migrating newt groups before speeding up as we head towards the north ridge for a breathtaking view of Santa Rosa.
