No cell phone reception or a long hike back? Learn the basics behind wilderness first aid in this fun and interactive program, which will better prepare you for all types of situations.

You’ve seen all the survivalist’s shows and now it’s time to put that knowledge to the test — well after working on those skills. Each program will focus on a different topic and will take place in various parks. We will cover topics such as: shelter building, knot tying, outdoor cooking and more. Thematic games and crafts will add to the fun for teenagers ages 13-17. The cost for each session is $15 for Sonoma County residents and $17 for out-of-county attendees. For more information, contact Alexis Puerto Holmes at Registration is required.

Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be cancelled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Kayaking programs are dependent on weather and wind. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
