Kayaking The Bay
Date: May 28, 2022
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: Doran Regional Park, boat launch
We hope to “sea” you at this intermediate kayaking trip! We’ll begin by getting comfortable in Bodega Harbor, learning different stroke techniques and navigating around obstacles. Then, we’ll paddle out to the bay to seal watch, observe marine wildlife and perhaps even whale watching from a distance. Participants, who should be ages 12 and up, need to bring their own wetsuits (rentals available through Surf Shack), water and snacks. Kayak events are subject to weather cancellations. The cost is $35 for in-county residents and $37 for out-of-county attendees. For more information, contact Alexis Puerto Holmes at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration is required.
Please bring your own water and snacks. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be cancelled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Kayaking programs are dependent on weather and wind. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
