Discover, Play, Learn

  • Hiking
With trails leading to beaches, mountains, forests, meadows and lakes, it's easy to discover why Sonoma County is so special. The parks feature trails for all types of adventurers, from paved paths for easy walks to wilderness trails for strenuous treks. Join a guided outing or explore on your own.
  • Cycling
Seeing Sonoma County from a bicycle is a must-do. We have flat, paved routes perfect for families and beginning cyclists and single-track trails to challenge experienced off-road riders.
  • Horseback Riding
The Regional Parks are horse friendly, that's for sure. Equestrians are welcome on trails throughout the county. Climb wooded mountains or gallop across a sandy beach.
  • Birding
Located along the Pacific flyway, Sonoma County is a birding paradise, and the Regional Parks provide abundant vantage points. Learn more about our bird-watching hot spots.
  • Boating, Paddling, and Fishing
Explore Sonoma County by water. We have launches on lakes, the Russian River and along the coast and an ocean marina in Bodega Harbor. Fresh and saltwater fishing options are plentiful.
