Regional Parks members. Doran is extremely popular on weekends and holidays, and the entrance will temporarily close when parking is full. Plan to arrive before 10 a.m. or after 3 p.m. for the best chance of finding parking on peak days. (Entrance conditions will be posted on Highway 1 at Doran Road.)

Doran Regional Park has a wide, 2-mile stretch of beach on Bodega Bay and is ideal for walking, picnicking, playing in the sand, flying kites, surfing, and bird-watching.
More than 120 tent and RV campsites are available year-round.
A boat launch provides Bodega Harbor access for sport fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddling, and kite surfing. A jetty at the harbor mouth is a popular spot for rock fishing and exploring sea life.
Doran Beach Trails
Length:2 and 1.3 miles
A walk along the shoreline at Doran Regional Park is approximately 2 miles one way from the rock jetty at the west end to the rock formations near Pinnacle Gulch on the east end.
A 1.3-mile trail meanders through grassy dunes above the beach and connects to an ADA-accessible boardwalk with benches and viewing areas.
Dogs on leash are welcome throughout the park. Horses are allowed on a 1-mile stretch of beach east of the second parking lot.

Doran Regional Park features more than 120 year-round campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Campground restrooms feature electrical outlets, flush toilets and coin-operated showers ($1.50 for 5 minutes.) RV hook-ups are not available.
Reservations can be made up to a year in advance and are strongly recommended for summer, holidays, and the start of crab fishing. Regional Parks' members get one free night of camping each year.
