Crab Season Delayed:
The California Fish and Game
Commission has delayed the recreational fishing season for Dungeness crab.
Officials will lift the closure when naturally occurring domoic acid levels in
the crustaceans no longer pose a risk to public health. For more information,

The park opens for day use at 7:00 a.m. and closes at sunset
$7 per vehicle for day use. $1 per person (vehicles with 10 or more people). One electric vehicle charging station located in the Cypress Day-Use lot (4 hour time limit).
Permitted on leash no longer than 6' in length. License required.
Campsites, a boardwalk with viewing areas, and beach wheelchairs that are available upon request.
Regional Parks will be replacing the existing restroom and shower building located between the Cove and Gull Campgrounds, and making site accessibility improvements associated with the building and the boardwalk. Doran Park has a 2-mile stretch of sandy beach
and is a popular place for visitors to picnic, build sand castles, fly kites,
surf, fish and stroll. A rock jetty at the harbor mouth provides access for
fishing, crabbing and exploring sea life. The boat launch can accommodate up
to 20-foot boats. A parking lot is located adjacent to the launch and can
handle 30 vehicles with trailers. Additional amenities include a
fish-cleaning station, boat-rinsing station and picnic areas.

Doran Beach Trails
Length:Approximately 1.28 miles
Doran Regional Park contains approximately 1.28 miles of trail. The main trail meanders through the dunes on the ocean side of the park, and connects easily to an ADA accessible boardwalk with benches and wildlife viewing areas. Equestrians are welcome in the park and are allowed on the 1 mile stretch of sandy beach east of the second parking lot, but not beyond. Equestrians interested in exploring the park should be aware that Doran is a popular park all year, and riders should be comfortable encountering swimmers, picnickers, campers, fishermen, kite flyers, vehicles, and leashed dogs.

Individual campsites, restrooms with electrical
outlets, flush toilets and coin operated showers ($1.50 per 5 minutes). Please
note: there are no RV hook-ups.
The campgrounds are open year-round and
offer quality camping facilities in beautiful surroundings.
