Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach offers a swimming beach on the Russian River, picnic areas, restrooms, and a par course. The beach is staffed with lifeguards daily from July through Labor Day, when a seasonal dam creates a calm swimming area just south of the historic, steel-truss Memorial Bridge. Swim zones are clearly marked and watched by lifeguards daily. Admission is free. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.

New for summer 2017 are tube rentals for $5 a day, and the "Zoom Floom," an inflatable water slide that lets riders whoosh down the sandy beach and into the river. All-day access to the slide is $5 per person. (Children must be 6 or older.) Slide and tube rental hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The parking lot can fill by mid-day on summer weekends, and limited off-street parking is available nearby.
