On Labor Day weekend, September 3-5, Healdsburg
Veterans Memorial Beach again will host the popular “Zoom Flume,” an
inflatable water slide introduced at the Healdsburg Water Carnival in August.
The Zoom Flume is like a giant Slip ‘N Slide that lets riders whoosh down the
steep, sandy beach into the Russian River, where they then can play on a
smaller, floating water slide. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the cost to ride
is $5 per person. (Children must be 6 or older.)
