Day-use visitors: This park can be busy on weekends and holidays. The entrance will close when day-use parking is full. Plan to arrive before 10 a.m. or after 3 p.m. for the best opportunity to find parking. Have an alternate destination in mind if parking is not available.

Campers: Campground reservations are required. First-come, first-served sites are not available and same-day, drop-in camping is not allowed. 

Doran Regional Park features a wide, 2-mile stretch of beach on Bodega Bay and is ideal for walking, picnicking, playing in the sand, flying kites, surfing, and bird-watching. 

A recently renovated boat launch provides access to Bodega Harbor and Bodega Bay for fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddling, and kite surfing. A rock jetty on the west end of the park is a popular spot for fishing and exploring sea life.  

Camping

More than 120 tent and RV campsites are available year-round. 

Trails

Walk along the shoreline or through grassy dunes that connect with the  Bird Walk Coastal Access Trail

Electrical Vehicle Charging Station

An electric vehicle charging station is in the Cypress day-use parking lot. 

Accessibility

Accessible features include campsites and a small boardwalk. All-terrain wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Park staff will assist with the check-out/check-in process.

    Doran Regional Park, Jetty Day Use 
    We are excited to announce our brand new sea kayaking program! Join park staff to learn about the local sea-lebrities while taking on some of the small to medium waves in Bodega Bay! We recommend participants bring a wetsuit and have the basics of kayaking down prior to participating in this program.

    Who lived here before us? What influences have past practices had on our current landscapes? Culture is alive, thriving and ever changing. Join us in exploring the cultural history of Doran Beach and Bodega Bay as we begin to unravel what the landscape looked like prior to becoming a park.

    Have you ever wondered how a sea star eats? How many different types of sea urchins live along our Sonoma coastline? Learn about the diversity of the rocky shoreline in this family friendly, hands-on presentation while you sit and gaze at the beautiful Pacific Ocean from the Doran Beach amphitheater.
