Foothill Regional Park in east Windsor is a 211-acre wilderness park in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. The park features thick oak woodlands, rolling hillsides, ridge top views of northern Sonoma County, three ponds for bass and bluegill fishing, grassy meadows, and spring wildflowers.
Nearly 7 miles of trails cover varied terrain, offering easy to strenuous hiking options. Trails range from uneven single-track to former ranch roads. One gravel trail is moderately accessible for visitors in wheelchairs.
Three Lakes Trail is a gravel, wheelchair-accessible trail with a gated, accessible parking lot and picnic area. To reach the accessible parking lot, visitors can obtain a free gate card at Regional Parks' office, 2300 County Center Drive, Suite 120A, in Santa Rosa during business hours.
