Supervisors Consider Regional Parks Funding Measure

July 14, 2016 in News

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors at its July 19, 2016 meeting will hear a presentation about the need for additional revenue to support and improve the Regional Parks system.

The Board will consider scheduling a public hearing on the potential for a ballot measure that would create a half-cent sales tax in unincorporated Sonoma County. The tax revenue generated by the measure would support Regional Parks' long-term needs to develop and manage new parks and trails, improve existing parks, protect natural resources, and serve the public with education, recreation and health programs.

The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the County Administration Center, 575 Administration Drive, Room 102A, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
