Volunteer

People raking trail

More than 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and expertise to Sonoma County Regional Parks each year. Volunteers build trails, maintain campgrounds, staff special events, mend fences, lead hikes, clear brush, and help with much more.

We strive to match skills and interests to volunteer positions that help us:

  • Enhance the quality of life in Sonoma County
  • Provide recreational, social and cultural opportunities to the public
  • Preserve, conserve and restore our natural, scenic and historical resources

Working alongside Regional Parks staff, volunteers can assist in a variety of projects:

Work Days

Join us for special projects to steward natural resources, maintain trails and improve facilities. Join an existing project, or talk to our volunteer coordinator about organizing a corporate or organizational service day.

Campground Hosts

Enjoy living at one of our campgrounds while assisting park staff with visitor services and minor park maintenance.
