For Immediate Release
Prescribed burn operations planned at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park
June 16, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SANTA ROSA, CA – Sonoma County Regional Parks in partnership with Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Fire Forward program and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit, is planning a prescribed burn at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park on June 17. Fire crews will burn approximately 11 acres starting as early as 8 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. Smoke may be visible around the area throughout the day. This is a permitted prescribed burn; please avoid calling 9-1-1 to report smoke and fire in the prescribed areas.
The burn will take place surrounding the parking lot off Faught Road. The park will be closed, and closure signs will be posted. For updates on this and other Regional Parks prescribed burns, download the Watch Duty app and:

Prescribed burns are carefully planned and must meet strict criteria for ecological benefit, weather parameters, smoke management and fire safety guidelines. (The planned date is subject to last-minute changes due to these considerations.) When all conditions are met, trained wildland firefighters conduct the burn while monitoring the set criteria, fire behavior and designated fire control lines.
These prescribed burns have been planned and coordinated with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to minimize the smoke impacts on surrounding communities.
