Bodega Bay Trail Update

Sonoma County Regional Park planners will provide an update on development of the Bodega Bay Trail at a June 5 meeting at the Bodega Bay Fire Station, 510 Highway 1. The meeting starts at 6 p.m., following a Local Coastal Plan workshop at the same location. Participants will include 5^th District Supervisor Efren Carrillo and Regional Parks Director Caryl Hart.

The proposed 3.4-mile Bodega Bay Trail is located along the Highway 1 corridor between Salmon Creek and Doran Beach Regional Park. The trail will provide a safe route for bicyclists and pedestrians traveling along the highway and through Bodega Bay. A major project component is construction of a waterfront boardwalk with access to retail shops, restaurants and scenic overlooks of Bodega Bay. Once completed, this trail will be part of the California Coastal Trail, which extends north and south of Sonoma County.
