Taylor Mountain Natural Play Area

Taylor Mountain Natural Play Area Overview 500

What & Why?

Sonoma County Regional Parks has created a nature-inspired play area for families at the western base of Taylor Mountain in the area of the Petaluma Hill Road entrance to Taylor Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve.

The play area is inspired by the natural landscape of the Park and Open space using landform, vegetation, and play features predominately constructed of natural materials, to create a diverse and exciting play-scape for children to explore.

Project Completed in December 2020

The newly created "Red Tail Play Area", is located at the north end of the Petaluma Hill Road trailhead parking area. The play area opened in December 2020.
