Forestville Trailhead - Project Detail
Project Description
The Forestville segment of the West County Trail currently ends near Pajaro Lane, a residential street, and does not connect directly into downtown Forestville where there are restaurants, cafes, and other businesses.
The Forestville Planning Association has offered a public access easement on their property that will be developed as a Town Square where the community can host social events. The public access easement will enable the County to construct an 8-feet wide paved trail from the current terminus near Pajaro Lane to Highway 116.
In December 2016, a use permit application was submitted to the County Permit and Resources Management Department for approval to develop the Forestville Town Square, which includes the West County Trail extension.
The trail construction is scheduled to be completed by February 2021.
Construction Schedule:
June 13 to June 28, 2019 | Paved Trail Construction |
Fall 2019 to February 2021 | Wood Boardwalk Construction |
