Regional Parks Offers Veterans, Military Free Parking Memorial Day Weekend

Sonoma County Regional Parks is offering military members and veterans free parking at all county parks over Memorial Day weekend. Veterans, active duty military personnel and their families are eligible for a special pass that waives Regional Parks’ $7 day-use parking fee from Friday, May 24, through Monday, May 27.
Passes are available in advance of the weekend at the following locations:
- Sonoma County Regional Parks’ main office, 2300 County Center Drive, Suite 120A, Santa Rosa
Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. beginning May 15. - Sonoma County Veterans Service Office, 3725 Westwind Blvd., Suite 100, Santa Rosa
Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. beginning May 15. - Spring Lake Regional Park (Newanga Avenue entrance), Doran Beach, and Ragle Ranch Regional Park
Daily 8 a.m to sunset beginning May 18.
Passes will be available through the weekend, May 24 to May 27 at the staffed entrances to Spring Lake, Doran, and Ragle Ranch regional parks.
Visitors requesting passes will be asked to show a valid military identification card, a veteran’s identification card, or an honorable discharge record. Sonoma County residency is not required.
Regional Parks provides a similar pass on Veterans Day weekend. The passes are offered with support from the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and in collaboration with the Sonoma County Human Services Department in recognition of the sacrifices and contributions of local veterans.
In addition to the Memorial and Veterans Day passes, Regional Parks offers a year-round distinguished veterans pass, which provides free parking to disabled war veterans, former prisoners of war and Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.
