Comments Sought on Maxwell Farms Regional Park Draft Master Plan

Published: July 19, 2017

Regional Parks hosted a community meeting on July 12 to present and receive feedback on the draft Master Plan update for Maxwell Farms Regional Park. The plan is available here and public comments are welcomed by August 4 to planner Scott Wilkinson (see contact info at right).

The goal of the master plan update is to establish a vision for the park that better meets the community’s current and future recreational needs, increases safety and accessibility, and protects and enhances its environmental resources.

The plan update outlines improvements to the park that would be constructed over time, and designating new features such as a small bike park, an off-leash dog area, pickle ball courts, and lighting, and also depicting how existing facilities such as the sports fields, playground, picnic areas, parking and trails would be upgraded, expanded, and/or relocated.

There will also be an opportunity for public comment during a 30-day review period subsequent to the preparation of the final draft Master Plan update and publishing of the draft CEQA documentation. Sign up for planning updates to receive notification of future project updates.
