Sonoma County Regional Parks has completed a first phase of renovations at Maxwell Farms Regional Park near Sonoma, introducing all-weather sports fields, expanded parking and other updates to make the park more accessible to visitors. New trails, more coming to Taylor Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve

Sonoma County’s largest trail construction project in over a decade is underway at Taylor Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve in Santa Rosa. When completed, hikers, cyclists and equestrians will have access to an additional 450 acres of the 1,100-acre park. These new trails will improve the quality of recreational opportunities and access to nature close to Sonoma County’s most populous city, adding approximately 8 miles of new multi-use trails and doubling the park’s existing trail network. Fans of Helen Putnam Regional Park in Petaluma have more to celebrate with this month's opening of a new entrance and multi-use trail on the north side of the park.
