Prescribed pile-burning operations planned at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park Jan. 31 - Feb. 1

Santa Rosa, CA | January 30, 2023

Sonoma County Regional Parks is planning to conduct pile burns at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park on January 31st and February 1st. The upcoming pile burn is a continuation of fuels reduction work conducted by Park’s staff and the California Conservation Corps (CCC) that thinned vegetation along the Park’s roads and trails. Thinning vegetation minimizes surface and ladder fuels to help protect the remaining trees and adjacent communities from future wildfire severity.

Shiloh Ranch is currently closed due to impacts from the high rainfall events that occurred recently. People in the area may see or smell smoke during the burn.
