Community Workshops
Two community workshops were held to gather public input on possible trail alignments and other park amenities.

Timeline
| September 12, 2017 | Board of Supervisors approval of the Master Plan and Mitigated Negative Declaration and final Notice of Determination filed. |
| Fall 2017 | Park 100% burned in Nuns Fire. |
| 2019 | Prescribed fire conducted on park meadows facing Highway 12. |
| 2020 | Conducted follow up prescribed burn. |
| Summer/fall 2020 | Design planning for planting restoration and screening project. Design engineering and bid document development for new restroom building, picnic facilities, and parking lot. Trail improvement and construction plan development. |
| Spring 2021 | Planting restoration and screening project installed. |
| Fall 2021 | Construction begins on new and improved trails. |
| Spring 2022 | New and improved trails open for public use. |
| Spring 2025 | Construction begins on new restroom, picnic facilities and parking lot improvements. |
| Spring 2025 | New restroom, picnic facilities and parking lot improvements complete. |
