Wetland Habitat Restoration at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park

Sonoma County Regional Parks completed a wetland habitat restoration project at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park near Windsor. The project repaired significant erosion, restored riparian and wetland habitat for native plants and animals, and enhanced an old stock pond to create an improved refuge for wildlife and a more attractive destination for park visitors. Maxwell Farms Regional Park’s first phase of renovation complete with new sports fields, parking, accessibility improvements

Sonoma County Regional Parks has completed a first phase of renovations at Maxwell Farms Regional Park near Sonoma, introducing all-weather sports fields, expanded parking and other updates to make the park more accessible to visitors. Planning is underway for a second phase of improvements, including a renovated skatepark, new bicycle pump track, new pickleball courts and upgrades to backcountry trails. Read full story

Summer shuttle to Russian River beaches returns this month

The Regional Parks River Shuttle is a convenient, low-cost way to visit Russian River beaches without the need for a personal vehicle. With new, expanded hours, the shuttle will operate 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekends and holidays, beginning Saturday, May 25, through Labor Day, Sept. 2.The River Shuttle departs from the El Molino High School campus, 7050 Covey Road in Forestville, and runs between the popular Steelhead Beach and Sunset Beach river parks.
