Green Valley Road - Background
The West County Trail provides residents with a transportation and recreation route linking communities such as Graton and Forestville. Sections of the trail have been completed in phases over a period of years as public funding has become available. The 1.4-mile trail section between Occidental Road and Green Valley Road was completed in 1998, and the 1.9-mile trail section between Green Valley Road and Pajaro Lane was completed in 2000. Bike lanes were added to Green Valley Road between Atascadero Creek and Ross Road in 2004.
The County has secured funding for the 0.26-mile long separated pathway (Class 1 bike path) that will be constructed along Green Valley Road between two sections of the existing West County Trail.
