Hood Mountain's Pythian Road Entrance Reopens
Sonoma County Regional Parks has reopened the Pythian Road entrance to Hood Mountain Regional Park & Preserve. The southern half of the park had been closed since the October 2017 wildfire swept across large portions of the mountain. This section of the park experienced some of the most severe fire impacts. Regional Parks to Study Potential for Russian River Bike, Pedestrian Trail
Sonoma County Regional Parks will receive a $620,000 state grant to study the feasibility of creating a bicycle and pedestrian trail along the lower Russian River. Read full story
Free Parking for Veterans on 2017 Holiday Weekend
In honor of Veterans Day, military members and veterans will receive free parking at all Sonoma County Regional Parks for the upcoming holiday weekend. Active duty, veteran and retired military personnel and their families will be able to visit county parks and trails with a special pass that waives the regular $7 day-use parking fee from Friday, Nov. 10, through Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. Wildfire Impacts - October 31 Update
The following Regional Parks remain closed due to the impacts of the Sonoma County wildfires: Hood Mountain Regional Park & Preserve, Shiloh Ranch Regional Park, Sonoma Valley Regional Park, and Tom Schopflin Fields. Public Input Sought for Draft Master Plan for Larson Park
