We invite inquiring minds to join us in experiencing the natural world through journaling while making friends and having fun.

Calling all young naturalists ages 9-12! We are invite inquiring minds to join us in experiencing the natural world through journaling while making friends and having fun. We will ask questions, practice close observation, sketch and explore the park together. Participants will create their own nature journal filled with their observations and discoveries to take home. Please bring a lunch and hearty snack, dress in layers and be ready to take your journaling and writing skills to the next level. The cost is $175 per camper in county, $177 out of county. We recommend participants dress in layers and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be cancelled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Accommodations will be made for visitors with disabilities upon advance request. Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.

Camperships

Nature Investigator camperships are provided to families with significant financial need. Camperships will be given on a first-come first-served basis while funding lasts. Awards are based on the following criteria and are not guaranteed to every applicant:

  1. Completed application
  2. Income eligibility

Refunds

Refunds will only be given if the reservation is cancelled one week before the session begins.
