Water Quality
Spring Lake Swimming Lagoon
Water in the Spring Lake swimming lagoon is chlorinated and circulated throughout the swim season. The Sonoma County Department of Health Services monitors water quality in cooperation with Regional Parks and the Sonoma County Water Agency. Swimming lagoon water samples consistently exceed all state water quality requirements.
Russian River Beaches
The Sonoma County Department of Health Services, in cooperation with the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Sonoma County Water Agency, monitors bacterial levels in the water at beaches on the Russian River. Sampling is conducted regularly between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Test results are posted by the Department of Health Services and are also available through the Beach Sampling Hotline at (707) 565-6552.
