    Who says dragons aren’t real? Explore the cattails and rushes of Spring Lake by kayak and discover the "dragons" (dragonflies) of Sonoma County. These pre-historic terrors of the sky have been around for more than 300 million years!

    Two-Day Youth Kayak Skills Camp
    Learn the essentials of kayaking while enjoying a fun paddling experience with your peers. Gain confidence on the water and learn paddling techniques, different types of strokes, launching and landing and effective communication and signaling. We’ll provide kayaks, paddles and life jackets – just bring a great attitude for a good time on the water! Ages 10-14.

Boat Launches

Developed boat launches are available at Regional Parks in Bodega Bay, on the Russian River, at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa, and at the Hudeman Slough waterway of San Pablo Bay. 

Paddling

Kayaking, paddleboarding and canoeing are popular activities at Spring Lake, where summer rentals are available,  and at parks along the Russian River, on Bodega Harbor and the Gualala River. The Regional Parks offer plenty of settings to launch your kayak, board or canoe.
