Open house & Valentine crafting

Step back in time on Saturday, Feb. 8, to glimpse what life was like in a one-room schoolhouse and make an old-fashioned Valentine's craft. Built in 1856, Watson School served as a Bodega community hub until the late 1960s. Usually closed to the public, the schoolhouse will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Stop by and check it out, crafting optional. Free; no registration required.

Dog-friendly trails in Sonoma County

There's nothing like going on a hike with your best friend. And if your best friend happens to be a dog, no worries! Dogs on leash are welcome at nearly all Sonoma County Regional Parks. In fact, because most of the area's state parks don't allow dogs on trails, Sonoma County's regional parks are the North Bay's best destinations for hiking with your pet.

Big changes coming to Larson Park

Exciting upgrades are coming soon to Larson Park in Sonoma Valley! Construction is expected to start this spring on renovations to the park's existing community garden and baseball field, and the addition of new playgrounds, pickleball and tennis courts, a soccer field, group picnic areas and more. The Sonoma County Parks Foundation is raising funds to help complete the project, and is just $10,000 away from its $100,000 goal.

As part of the project, Larson Park's tennis and pickleball courts will be renovated. Donations for the court improvements will be matched, doubling their impact. Use the link below to donate specifically to Larson's tennis and pickleball courts.
